Henry Joseph Brunet

Henry Joseph Brunet, 90, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at 8:30pm. Henry was a native of Theriot, LA and resident of Houma, LA.

Family and friends of the family are invited to attend visitation on Monday, November 28, 2022 at Chauvin Funeral Home from 9:00am until service time.  A Liturgy of the Word will follow visitation on Monday, November 28, 2022 at 11:00am at Chauvin Funeral Home with burial following in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2.

Henry is survived by his loving wife of thirty-three years, Linda Chauvin Brunet; his children, James Brunet and wife Debi, Judy Bergeron and husband Michael, Timmy Brunet and wife Jan, Ann Guidry and husband Brian; step-children, Michelle Davidson and husband Richard, and Mark Voisin Jr. and wife Cherie; siblings, Ralph Brunet, Veronica Brunet Champagne, and Romona Brunet Alleman; and thirteen loving grandchildren, and numerous loving great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Henry is preceded in passing by his loving first wife, Marie Blanchard Brunet; parents, Stanley and Lillian Voisin Brunet;  siblings, Walterine B. Bourg, Ira Brunet Sr., Frances “Popeye” Brunet, Floyd Brunet, Stanley “SP” Brunet, and Grace  Brunet Clanton.

Henry was a proud decorated Korean War Veteran. He is proud of his service in the United States Army. He was a past Master Mason with Unity Lodge #267.  He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4752.

Henry was loved and respected by everyone who worked with him and knew him.  He was a kind man who never met a stranger in his life.   He will be missed by all who knew him; but always loved and never forgotten.
