Zula Pitre

Zula L. Pitre, age 92, passed away Friday, October 10, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. She was a native and resident of Houma, La.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Chauvin Funeral Home Tuesday, October 14, 2025 from 9:00 AM until service time at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at St. Frances Cemetery #2.

Zula is survived by her children, Tena Pitre, Gary J. Pitre, Steven Pitre, Mary Pitre; grandchildren, Jessie Harkins, Shawna Rae, Albert Harkins, Karen Harkins, Seth Feet, Jonathan Feet, Dalton Pitre, Kenliegh Pitre, Bradley DeLong, Hunter Pitre, Harley and Hailey Usey, Hannah-Kate St. John; great-grandchildren, Brinleigh and Statham Hogue, Kodi and Kylie Harkins, Jason and Johnathon Harkins, Benjamin and Braden, Marley St. John; niece, Rosalie Hebert; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Zula is preceded in death by her parents, Shelly LeCompte and Rita LeBoeuf LeCompte; brother, Earl LeCompte; sisters, Clara Hebert, Thelma Dupre, Beulah Robinson, Nancy Roberts.

Zula's greatest joy came from her family. She was a source of endless love and support, always ready with a warm smile and a listening ear. A passionate crocheter, Zula spent countless hours creating beautiful blankets for her family

She held her faith close to her heart, drawing strength and guidance from the Bible throughout her life. Her love for the simple pleasures, such as gathering with her family over a shared meal of boiled crabs and shrimp, reflected her appreciation for the moments that truly mattered.

Zula will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and the warmth she brought into the lives of those around her. Her spirit will continue to live on in the memories of all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be dearly missed but forever cherished in our hearts.
