William Jack Washam, Sr., born October 3, 1935, a native of Mobile, Alabama and a longtime resident of Houma, Louisiana, passed away at 6:05 a.m. on Monday, April 20, 2026.
Mr. Washam was the owner of Jack's Auto Parts for 50 years and a member of Christ Baptist Church in Houma.
Visitation will take place at Christ Baptist Church on Saturday, May 2, 2026, beginning at 1:00 p.m. with the Funeral Service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Interment will take place afterward at St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Collins Washam; his son, John Earl Washam of Houma; his daughter, Jacqueline Washam of The Woodlands, Texas; and four grandchildren: William Jack Washam III, Wyatt Washam, John Lynn Thomas, and Travis Adams. He also leaves behind two great-grandchildren, Lila and Alyse, and two sisters, Nell Christoper and Bernice Seales.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth Gaudet Washam; his son, William Jack Washam, Jr.; three brothers, Jimmy, Roy, and Robert Washam and two sisters, Edna Hebert and Jean Christopher.
The family extends a heartfelt thank-you to his caregivers, Ollie, Amanda, Marie, Jean, Carla, and nurses Callie and Patrice.
