William Loring

February 24, 1961 — August 22, 2021

William Fitzgerald Loring, ”Wild Willie”, 60, passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2021 at 8:50am.  William was a native of New Iberia, LA and resident of Houma, LA.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic; local and CDC regulations require facemask and proper social distancing while attending funeral services.  

Family and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation on Friday, August 27, 2021 at Chauvin Funeral Home from 9:00am until service time. Ministry Services will begin at Chauvin Funeral on Friday, August 27 ,2021 at 11:00am. Burial will follow services in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2.

 

William is survived by his fiance’ Denise Marmande; daughter, Riki Rivera; son, Bronson Loring; grandchildren, Mary Jane, Catherine, Christine, Rosie; niece, Kacey Loring.  

William is preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Shirley Parish Loring; brother, Rickey Loring.

As a young boy, William’s passion was motor cross racing. Better known as “Wild Willie”. At the young age of fourteen he turned professional where and he raced all over the United States. As a young man he worked for his father at HWC as a snubber. His snubbing experience brought him to work for “Boots & Coots” and “Red Adair” and later traveled to  Kuwait to put out the fires of Desert Storm. William had a passion for growing roses and collecting many varieties of plants. He won the Le Petit Jardin Award, Terrebonne Garden Club “Garden of the Month”. In his last years, William came to know his Lord and Savior. He loved to read his Bible and also minister to friends.

He enjoyed camping where he met many new friends. He never met a stranger. William was loved by many who knew him and he will be dearly missed.
