Warren James Berger, age 94, passed away at home on December 8, 2025, surrounded by his family. He was a native and resident of Houma.
Warren lived a full and simple life - he worked hard, savored all types of food, and enjoyed a good game of football (no matter who was playing).
He was an Air Force veteran who served in Okinawa during the Korean War.
He worked for AT&T for over forty years before retiring and starting his own phone business, Tri-Tech Telecommunications, which did business and residential phone installation and repairs. His company closed in 2014.
Warren will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of his loved ones.
Warren's memory will be cherished by his wife of 71 years Marilyn Albright Berger; his daughter Colleen Marcel (Luke); his grandchildren: Ben Combetta, Jillian and Lauren Crochet, Simon (Katie), Nathaniel (Taylor), Camille (Ross), and Emma Marcel; and his great-grandchildren: JoLeigh, Avery, Penelope, Sage, Myles, Eden and Lowen.
He was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth 'Kenny' Berger; his daughter, Janice 'Jan' Crochet; his son-in-law, Arnold 'AJ' Crochet; all his siblings: Raymond Berger, Florence Barnes, Severn Berger, Betty Ferguson, and Lawrence Berger; and his parents, Peter Berger and Alice Bourg.
The family would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Claudette Clay and Haydel Memorial Hospice, especially his nurse Danielle and aide Bre, for their compassion and support while caring for him.
Family and friends are invited to the memorial service to celebrate Warren's life, which will be held on Friday, January 16. There will be a visitation from 9:00-10:00 AM, and the service will follow at 10:00 AM at Covenant Church Houma.
A private burial with immediate family only will follow the service.
In lieu of flowers, please donate in Warren's memory to your favorite charity.
Family invites you to share this information with anyone who was touched by Warren's life.
