Toussaint Matherine, Jr.

Toussaint Joseph Matherne Jr., age 76, passed away surrounded by loving family on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at 2:45 pm. He was a native of Bourg and a resident of Montegut, LA.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Saturday, November 10, 2018 beginning at 9:00 am until a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am with burial following in church cemetery.

Toussaint is survived by his daughters, Peggy Ann Matherne, Pamela M. Matherne, and Paulette M. Matherne; sister, Gloria M. Robertson and husband, Don; 4 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.

Toussaint is preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Jeannie Josephine Neal Matherne; parents, Toussaint Joseph Sr. and Bernice Marie Vito Matherne; brothers, Beldon, William, Herbert, Johnny, Roy, Harold, and Kirby J. Matherne; sisters, Theresa LeBouef, Leonese Fanguy, Elizabeth Roberts, and Patsy Soley.

Toussaint retired from McDermott after 40 years as a crane operator. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with family and friends. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
