Ruth Crochet Authement

Ruth Crochet Authement, 90, passed away on Sunday, April 2, 2023 at 2:54am surrounded by her loving family. Ruth is a native and resident of Chauvin, LA.

Family and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin, LA from 10:00am until service time. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow visitation at St. Joseph Church at 12:00pm/Noon with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Ruth is survived by her husband of seventy-two years, Huey “T-Bob” Authement; daughter, Jeanie Liner and her husband Russell; sister, Elain C. Lirette; two grandsons, Robbie Liner and wife Tanya, and Casey Liner and wife Nicole; five great-grandchildren, Drew, Brody, Bentley, Brooklynn, and Mia.

Ruth was preceded in passing by her parents, Johnny and Louise Crochet; one brother, Ernest Crochet, and two sisters, Rita “Ton” Foret and Anna “Tan” Crochet.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was very special and especially kind to everyone she would meet.  She will be greatly missed. Our hearts are broken.

Ruth was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin.
