It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ronald Jude Lambert, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, who departed this life on August 4, 2026, at the age of 87. Born on February 17, 1939, in Gramercy, Louisiana, Ronald lived a life marked by an unwavering commitment to his family and community.

Ronald graduated from Southeastern Louisiana College majoring in accounting and began his career as a math teacher. Soon thereafter, he was drafted into the U.S. Army where he proudly served his country with honor. After his military service, Ronald transitioned into the accounting profession. Driven by his entrepreneurial spirit, he opened a business, Bourg Hardware, which he proudly owned and operated for many years. When the business closed, he returned to his career in accounting where he continued to provide trusted service up until his death.

Throughout his life, he was actively involved in numerous community organizations and was dedicated to serving others. He enjoyed dancing, socializing with family and friends, and never missed an opportunity to bring people together with his vibrant spirit and outgoing personality.

A devoted family man, Ronald is survived by his loving wife Noel Nettleton Lambert; his cherished daughters Lisa Lambert Adams (Jerry Adams, Jr.) of Bourg, LA, and Melissa Lambert Tumy (Patrick Tumy) of Madisonville, LA. He deeply adored his three grandchildren, Macy Adams Arceneaux (Louis Arceneaux III), Mia Adams Tucker (Bryce Tucker), and Peyton Tumy, as well as his great-grandchild, Briar Aurelia Arceneaux.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents Aubrey A. Lambert and Marie Waguespack Lambert as well as his siblings Joseph Lambert, Earl Lambert, Aubrey J. Lambert, and Marie Lambert.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff of Hope Hospice, Terrebonne Home Care, and the many doctors, nurses, caregivers, and healthcare professionals who provided him with exceptional care, kindness, and dignity throughout his journey. Your compassion, support, and dedication brought comfort not only to Ronald but also to his family, and your kindness will always be remembered with deep appreciation.

Ronald was laid to rest at a private family service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
