Roland David Allemand, Jr., 69, passed away on April 21, 2026, in Savannah, Georgia, after a very brief illness.
Born on July 13, 1956, and raised in Houma, he graduated from H.L. Bourgeois High School, then traveled the country, and eventually the world throughout his life.
Roland loved traveling to new places, immersing himself in the cultures of the overseas countries he lived in, photography, history, and learning new things. He enjoyed sharing his travels with others.
He is survived by his wife, Laurie, his devoted partner of 34 years; his children, Andrea Hebert and husband Blaine of Youngsville, and Roland David Allemand, III and wife Gabrielle of Houston; his step-children, Jeremy Brunet and wife Dawn of Virginia, and Jodie Brunet of Hammond; his grandchildren, Cecilia Hebert, Marie Hebert, John David Allemand, Keller Powell, Rylie Powell, and Avrie Brunet; his siblings, Connie Becnel (Joe), Bradley Allemand (Amy), and Julie Allemand, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roland David Allemand, Sr., his mother, Betty Thibodeaux Allemand; his brother, Dwight David Allemand; and his sister Beth Ann Allemand.
A celebration of life will be held at Chauvin Funeral Home at a date to be announced later.
