Robert Peter Foret

Robert Peter Foret, age 90, passed away peacefully at home Tuesday, December 2, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was a native and resident of Houma, La.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation Monday, December 15, 2025 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church from 10:00 AM until service time at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Joyce Pierron Foret; daughter, Christine Oncale (David); granddaughters, Selena Oncale, Sarah Oncale Drlja (Boris); great-grandchildren, Sydni Boudreaux, Niko Drlja; sisters, Jayne Pope and Rita Falgout.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Teles Foret and Vernita Babin Foret; brothers, Douglas, L.J., Murphy and Junius Foret; sisters, Yvette LeBouef, Nita Bergeron, Rita Vice; and numerous extended family members of the Foret family who assisted in raising him, including Evles J. and Leontine Bergeron Foret.

Robert lived a full and vibrant life, dedicated to his family and passions. He was a caring man with a generous spirit who cherished time spent with family. He especially took joy in traveling and fishing, often found in his beloved boat at their camp, where he created many treasured memories. A talented carpenter who could build just about anything, Robert also enjoyed the art of carving ducks, a testament to his creativity and love for the outdoors. 

Robert took great pride in welcoming the first and only grandson to the family, finding unmeasurable joy in this new chapter of life.

The family would like to send a special thanks to Hope Hospice and his primary care provider, Steven Ganier, MD, for all their love and care. Robert will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of his loved ones.
