Rita Leonard Bonvillain

Rita Leonard Bonvillain, age 94, passed away Tuesday May 30, 2023. She was a native and resident of Houma, La.  

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Annunziata Catholic Church Saturday, June 3, 2023 from 9:00 AM until service time at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Holy Rosary Cemetery.  

Rita is survived by her children, Susan Boudreaux (Dr. Michael Stokes), Karen Landry (Barry), Michael Bonvillain (Teresha); grandchildren, Shannon Boudreaux, Jared Landry, Scott Bonvillain, Melanie Bonvillain Frierson (Jeremy); great-grandchildren, Kagan Landry, Agatha Landry; step-great-grandchild, Victoria Aaron (Nick); step-great-great-grandchild, Hazel Aaron.  

Rita is preceded in death by her husband, Ernie Joseph Bonvillain; parents, Eddie J. Leonard and Agnes Blanchard Leonard; grandson, Chad Anthony Landry; brothers, Harry, Ivy, Irvin, Roy, Herbert, Clarence, William, Clinton, and James Leonard; sisters, Margaret Hebert, Gladys Pregeant, Hattie Martin, and Agnes Gautreaux.  

Rita was a longtime parishioner of Annunziata Parish. She was a kind, loving and faithful woman who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
