Rebecca Luneau

With heavy hearts but fond memories, we celebrate the life of Rebecca Luneau, who was born on February 17, 1965, in Houma, Louisiana. Rebecca passed away peacefully on January 8, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished moments that will forever resonate in the hearts of her family and friends.

Rebecca was a devoted homemaker, married for over 40 wonderful years to her beloved husband, Gary Luneau Sr. Together, they nurtured a warm and loving home. Rebecca had an extraordinary talent for cooking, often filling their home with the rich, inviting scents of gumbo, vegetable soup, and golden fried eggrolls, which brought joy to countless family gatherings.

Growing up in a house full of boys, Rebecca had an adventurous spirit that flourished in the great outdoors. She had a love for gardening, delighting in the vibrant flowers she carefully cultivated, and cherished days spent fishing and crabbing. Her nurturing nature extended to her children, Gary Jr., Todd, Megan, Morgan, and stepson Lynn, who remember her as a source of unwavering support and inspiration.

Rebecca was also known for her creative flair and eye for color, often spending her downtime sewing and crafting.

As a grandmother, she created a bond with her grandchildren-Aubrey, Kenzi, Emy, Peyton, and River-filled with laughter from playful afternoons and swimming sessions. She was eagerly anticipating the arrival of her newest granddaughter, Georgia.

Becky is survived by her loving husband Gary Luneau Sr.; children Gary Luneau Jr. (Michelle), Todd Luneau (Tabby), Megan Luneau (Olivia), and Morgan Hebert (Daniel); grandchildren Aubrey, Kenzi, Emy ; Peyton, River and soon to be Georgia Hebert; brothers George "Butch" Price Jr., Ricky Price and Scott Price; numerous nieces, nephew and extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents George and Lua Rita Price, and brothers Randy Price and Jody Price.

A visitation funeral to honor Rebecca's remarkable life will be held within Chauvin Funeral Home's Magnolia Chapel on January 13, 2026 at 9:00 AM followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Church Cemetery in Chauvin, Louisiana.
