Raymond Anthony Babin, 96, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2026 at 8:56am. Raymond was a native and resident of Houma, LA.

Raymond is survived by his loving family, his son, Raymond Babin Jr. and daughter-in-law, Phyllis Guidry Babin and their children, James Babin and wife Beth, and Laura Young and her husband Bobby; four great-granddaughters, Emma and Bonnie Babin, and Addison and Ava Grace Young; brothers, Lionel Babin Jr., Gerald Babin; and sister, Jeannie Babin Lopiccolo.

Raymond is preceded in passing by his wife, Babette Lewald Babin; parents, Lionel Babin and Marie Melancon Babin; and brother, Daniel Babin.

Raymond was a kind and gentle man. He and Babette enjoyed collecting antiques and owned their own antique store named Amber Door Antiques.

The family would like to thank Allen Hartman for the many years of care and friendship given to Raymond through his last years. The family would like to thank the staff of Haydel Memorial Hospice for the love, care, and attention to detail given to Raymond and family.
