Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Randy Paul Bergeron, who left this world on July 21, 2026, at the age of 60. Born on August 15, 1965, in Houma, Louisiana, Randy's spirit was as vibrant as the music he loved, and his laughter echoed through the hearts of those who knew him.

Randy was a devoted brother to Mary "Susie" Coleman (Daniel), Debra "Debbie" Bergeron, Vicki Breaux (Barry), Sandra Martindale (Richard), Carl Bergeron (Carla); he was also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. His love for family was evident in every moment spent together.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Beverly Bergeron, Thelma LeCompte Bergeron.

He had a remarkable passion for life, made evident through his joyful spirit and his enthusiasm for dancing, singing, playing his PlayStation, and indulging in his favorite television shows, particularly *The Dukes of Hazzard* and *The Andy Griffith Show*.

Throughout his life, Randy worked for TARC, engaging in roles that showcased his kind-heartedness and dedication. He was a proud participant in the Special Olympics, where he shone in events like swimming, bowling, horseshoes, and bocce ball, bringing home numerous medals and trophies. Randy's infectious smile and willingness to dress up in costumes added an element of fun to every gathering and dance he attended, leaving lasting memories with all who were fortunate to know him.

In remembrance of Randy's beautiful spirit, a visitation will be held on Monday, July 27, 2026, at St. Bernadette Catholic Church beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery No. 2.

Randy's presence will be profoundly missed, but his compassion and joy will continue to resonate in the lives he touched. As we honor his memory, we take comfort in the legacy of love he leaves behind.
