Ralph C. Melancon, 79, a native of Houma, LA and resident of Bourg, LA passed on Sunday, August 23, 2026 at 10:26pm.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at St. Ann Catholic Church in Bourg, LA from 9:00am until service time. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow visitation at St. Ann Church at 11:00am with burial taking place in the church cemetery.

Ralph is survived by his loving family; his loving wife of fifty-four years, Shirley Jones Melancon; sons, Dr. Ricky Melancon and wife Laci, Randy Melancon; grand-daughters, Harli and Addison Melancon. Ralph is also survived by many loving brothers and sisters in law.

Ralph is preceded in passing by his parents, Amos and Josephine "Bessie" Pitre Melancon.

Ralph is a retired diesel mechanic from Pennzoil and an Army Veteran. He enjoyed fishing and traveling in the company of his wife and family. Ralph had a passion for gatherings with the ones he loved. His family and friends were often present for his many seafood boils.
