Philip Soulet, age 91, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 surrounded by his loving family. He was a native of New Orleans and a resident of Chauvin.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Chauvin Funeral Home on Monday, February 23, 2026 from 9:00 AM until service time at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at St. Elie Cemetery.

Philip is survived by his children, Peggy Bordelon, Everette Frickey (Emma), Ellen Sparks (Dwight), Joey Soulet (Sissy), Angel Porche; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Soulet; son-in-law, Marlon Chauvin; godchild, Paige Brunet; and his pets, PeeWee and RoseMary.

Philip is preceded in death by his loving wife, Elda Anne Soulet; children, Jo Ann Chauvin, Russell Soulet; son-in-laws, Eric Bordelon, Derek Porche; parents, Placid and Lucy Soulet.

Philip led a life marked by hard work, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to his family.
Philip spent 35 years as a blaster/painter at Benoit Machine. He also worked as a trawler for 25 years and was an esteemed diver for the Coastal Rescue Unit.

Above all, Philip cherished his family. His greatest joy came from spending quality time, nurturing and caring for them. He had a deep and special love for his wife, Elda, who was his partner in life and love.

Philip Soulet leaves behind a legacy of hard work, strength, and love that will forever resonate in the hearts of his family and friends. He will be greatly missed, but his spirit will live on in the lives he touched.
