Peggy was a very loving and nurturing woman who loved her family unconditionally accepting them for who they are and supporting them through thick and thin. She had a heart of gold and a smile that never faded, which reflected her beautiful soul. Her warm smile and gentle spirit touched the hearts of everyone she knew. As she devoted herself to her faith as a long-standing member of the Gibson Baptist Church where she nurtured the spiritual growth of others. Peggys love for her lord and savior was evident in her everyday life; she radiated warmth and kindness, often lifting others in prayer. Her home was a place of warmth, laughter, and love, where everyone was always welcome, as long as they took their shoes off at the door!!! Her kitchen was always filled with the delicious smells of her cooking, and her table was always set for one more.
She is preceded in death by her husband Howard Cummings and by her son's father, Gerald J. "Jay" Bergeron; son, Jeff Bergeron; parents, Gail Cummings, and her mother Bertha Fullers.
She is survived by her son, Kevin S. Bergeron and fiancé Cyndi; granddaughter Heather Bergeron and fiancé Justin; great grandkids Haley& Brennon Dickerson , Noah & Harmony Dupre; and her companion Kenneth Faires of fifteen years.
In Peggy's memory let us remember her unmatched spirit, the laughter she shared, and the prayers she offered for those she loved. May her gentle heart and unwavering faith guide us as we navigate this life as we live on in her absence.
