It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Patricia Engeron Ledet, beloved wife, mother, grandmother great-grandmother, and cherished friend, who departed from this world on January 5, 2026, at the age of 85. Born on December 12, 1940, in New Orleans, Louisiana, Patricia's life was a testament to love, kindness, and passion for nurturing young minds.

Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary on Friday, January 9, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. till time of the Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the church's cemetery.

Patricia devoted her career to education and childcare, employing her nurturing spirit to help children learn and grow. She was a teacher at St. Francis De Sales Catholic School before venturing into her own Day Care. Her warmth and compassion left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her. Patricia was more than an educator; she was an embodiment of joy, often found dancing to her favorite tunes, cooking delicious meals for her family, and bringing harmony to her home through her meticulous cleaning.

She is survived by her loving husband, Joseph "JD" Ledet, her daughters; Gwen Chancey and partner Jerry Pitre, and Monica Henry and husband Jason, her grandchildren; Mitchell Chancey and Aaron Henry, great-grandchildren, Logan Chancey and Charlotte Chancey. Patricia's commitment to her family and her passions created a legacy of love that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Patricia is reunited in Heaven with her parents, Gordon and Emma Engeron, her sisters; Barbara DeRoche, Susan Porche and Sherry Engeron.
