Pearl grew up in Era, Texas and graduated from Era High School in 1945. After working a few years, she met and married her first husband, Tom Wynn, Sr. and they had 2 children. Tom worked in the oil field where he and his family traveled all over the United States. Eventually the family settled in Houma, Louisiana, in the early 60’s.

Pearl was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Houma (Covenant Church) where she taught Sunday School for many years and served as church secretary until 1974.  She owned and managed Mam Zelle’s Dress Shoppe from 1974 – 1995. In her later years she coordinated Bayou Seniors, a monthly ministry program for Seniors. Pearl was a devout Christian and considered her greatest legacy being able to share the gospel. She treasured spending time with her family, friends and church groups.

Pearl is preceded in death by her husbands, Tom M. Wynn, Sr. and Arthur Arnold, Jr.; her parents, Jack and Agnes Pearce; and one brother, Jimmy Pearce.

The family would like to thank Haydel Memorial Hospice, her devoted caregivers and The Suites at Sugar Mill Point for their abundance of love and care. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Gideons International (PO Box 266, Houma, LA 70361) or to Covenant Church Building Fund (4863 Park Ave. Houma, LA 70364).
