Olene Fox

Olene Carr Fox, age 97, passed away Thursday September 22, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. She was a native New Castle, Tx and resident of Houma, La.

A private memorial will be held by the family.

Olene is survived by her children, Linda Fister and husband James G., Sonya Duckwall, James Fox II and wife Sherry; grandchildren, James G. (Jay) Fister II and wife Tina, John Kyle Fister and wife Liz, Heather F. Dugas and husband Derrick; great grandchildren, Sarah Hebert, Alyssa Fister, Aaron Fister, Brody Fister, Taylor Dugas, Caden Dugas; great great grandchild, Brynli Hebert and one on the way.

Olene is preceded in death by her husband, James W. Fox; parents, David Carr and Sarah Elizabeth Tolbert Carr; sisters, Bonnie Rogers, Elva Evans, Loretta Chandler, Veda Keith, Ozzie McAdams.

Olene was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She enjoyed gardening, traveling and reading. She loved nothing more than spending time with her family and friends cooking for them. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
