Norman Voisin

October 16, 1935 — January 30, 2022

Norman Paul Voisin, age 86, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, January 30, 2022. Norman is a native of Dulac and a longtime resident of Houma.

At Norman’s request, a private Mass and Burial was held for the family. Friends and extended relatives can express their condolences at www.chauvinfuneralhome.com.

Norman is survived by his daughters, Mabel Belling, Angela Dupre and husband David, and Lorena Guidry and husband Earl; grandchildren, Matthew Belling, Laura Belling, Bobby Dupre and wife Tam Le, Randy Dupre, Chase Boudreaux and wife Heidi Boudreaux; great grandchildren, Logan Belling, Liam Belling, Daxton Belling, and Daniel Boudreaux.

Norman is preceded in death by beloved wife of 65 years, Geraldine Duplantis Voisin; parents, Laurent and Angela Trosclair Voisin; brothers, Addie Voisin, Sr., Magnus Voisin, Sr., Clarance and Delfres Voisin; sisters, Josephine Lirette, Lorita Trahan, Lucretia and Theresa Voisin.

Norman was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, a retired foreman from Zapata Haynie Net Shop and an avid Fisherman. He owned and operated his boat call “The Miracle Lady.” He enjoyed working on nets, spending time with his pets, and cherished his time with his family and friends. Norman will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He is now reunited with his beloved wife and rests in the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
