Nancy Larpenter Benoit, age 77, a native and resident of Houma, La., passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2026.

Nancy is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Lavignette; sons, Bernie Benoit and wife Selena, Tommy Benoit and wife Crystal; ex son-in-law, Randall Toups; grandchildren, Tiffany LeBlanc (Bryan), Michael Toups, Matthew Toups (Sheree), Jonathan Benoit, David Benoit (Sarah), Bailey Benoit, Lola Benoit; great-grandchildren, Blakely LeBlanc, Presley LeBlanc, Owen LeBlanc, Jonathan Toups, Hayden Toups and Riley Benoit; her sisters, Elinda LeBlanc and Tammy Duran; her brother, Eba Larpenter, Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Nancy was preceded in passing by her beloved husbands of 56 years, Percy James Benoit, Sr.; her parents, Eba Larpenter, Sr. and Ethel Marcel Larpenter; her son-in-law, Lance Lavignette; her sister, Mary Ann Larpenter Brunet.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation for Nancy on Friday, October 30, 2026, at Chauvin Funeral Home in Chapel Dauphine, beginning at 9:00a.m. until the Funeral Service at 11:00a.m. Nancy will be laid to rest following her services in St. Francis Cemetery #2.

Nancy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She graduated from H.L. Bourgeois High School and worked as a school bus driver for Terrebonne Parish School Board. She was also a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Nancy was a member of Gold Wing Road Rider Association, and enjoyed riding bikes with her husband.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff if Haydel Memorial Hospice and all her nurses, Debra Gorr, Danielle Bergeron, McKensie Smith, Patty Voss and Kiesha Jasper. The family would also like to thank Ms. Nancy's private sitters, Kim Kenny, Christine Pharr, Miracle McGuin and her niece, Connie LeBlanc, for their care and compassion.
