Milton "Tutte" Joseph Waller White, age 99, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2026. A native of New Orleans, he lived most of his adult life in Houma, LA. Milton was a WWII veteran, serving in the Air Force, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, friend, and neighbor, he lived a long and meaningful life marked by devotion, kindness, hard work, and quiet strength.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Sunday, October 4, 2026 at Chauvin Funeral Home from 5:00pm until 8:00pm and continue at St. Ann Catholic Church in Bourg, LA on Monday, October 5, 2026 from 9:00am until service time. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow visitation at St. Ann Catholic Church in Bourg, LA at 11:00am with burial taking place in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2.

Tutte was a skilled athlete, playing football and baseball in high school. He later played semi-pro baseball on the Houma Indians team. Milton worked for many years as an Abstractor, owning his own company and working many years for the Assessor's office. He retired at the age of 89. He will be remembered for the years he spent coaching youth baseball, his membership in the Krewe of Terreanians Carnival Club, the Night Twirlers Square Dance group, and his prayer group. He enjoyed bowling and dancing with Betty and traveling with his family. A favorite family memory is the many crawfish boils he and Betty hosted for children and grandchildren.

Milton was a devout Catholic, attending daily Mass for many years. He was also a Eucharistic Minister and Lector at Maria Immacolata Church.

He is survived by his children, Kent (Linda), Rory (Romaine), and Timmy (Paula); grandchildren, Nikki White Maronge, Jason, Adam, Jonathan and Candace White, Juan, Maria, Daniela, and Silvia Noriega; Steven, Sara Catherine, Christopher White; Easton, Caroline, and Richard White; Lindsay White Gautier and Gabrielle White, along with 15 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife of sixty-two years, Betty Duplantis White; son, Wayne White; parents, George V. and Ethel Trudeau White; and brother, George White, Jr.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Ann Catholic Church in memory of Milton for memorial masses.

The family would like to thank the staff of Maison Levie who cared for Mr. Milton during his final phases of this life.

Though his presence will be deeply missed, his love, wisdom, and example will remain with his family, always.
