Michael John Trahan, 74, passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at 4:50pm. Michael was a native and resident of Houma, LA.

Family and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation on Friday, April 24, 2026 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Houma, LA (Bayou Black) from 9:00am until service time. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow visitation on Friday, April 24, at 11:00am at the church with burial to follow in Bayou Black Cemetery

Michael is survived by his loving family; his children, Michael Trahan Jr.; Mark Trahan; grandchildren, Hannah, Kaylee and Hunter Trahan; sisters, Sharon Wylie, Jacquelin Dominique (Noldon).

Michael is preceded in passing by his wife, Laura Trahan; father, Clinton Trahan; mother, Etta Daspit Tastet; sisters, Marietta Scott, Linda Pellegrin, and Trudy Breaux; brother, Daniel Trahan Sr.

Michael was an avid fisherman and deer hunter. He loved his pet macaws and his pet snake. Michael retired from J. Ray McDermott after a lifetime of dedicated service.
