Michael Blanchard

Michael “Mike” Paul Blanchard, 65, died May 29, 2017 at 6:40 AM. He was a native of Houma and a resident of Dulac, LA. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 2, 2017 from 5 PM until 9 PM and Saturday, June 3, 2017 from 9 AM until funeral time at Chauvin Funeral Home in the Magnolia Chapel with a service at 11 AM. Burial will be held in St. Francis de Sales #2 Cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Cheryl Ann Authement Blanchard; son, Chase Michael Blanchard and companion, Phi Ha; brother, Carey James Blanchard and wife, Jody Foolkes Blanchard; sister, Kim Marie LaCour; nephews, Travis Paul Authement and Brandon Lee Blanchard; nieces, Kara Marie Pierron and Chelsea Elizabeth Rogers. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hilary Peter and Betty Mary Blanchard; brother, Carl John Blanchard. He was a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church where was an usher. He enjoyed bass fishing, Mardi Gras (Krewe of Terreanians) and greeted everyone with a smile. Chauvin Funeral Home is honored to serve the Blanchard Family.
