It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael David Adams, a devoted husband and beloved father and grandfather, who left us on October 31, 2025, at the age of 62. Born on March 24, 1963, in Morgan City, Louisiana, Michael spent his life in Houma, where he became a cherished member of his community.
Michael's love story with his wife, Hope, spanned 18 remarkable years, marked by partnership, laughter, and countless memories. Known for his kind-hearted nature, Michael was truly "good as gold." He had a passion for life that was evident in the little things he loved-attending gun shows, savoring fine wines, bourbons and ribeye steaks, and enjoying quiet moments beside the koi pond he created in his backyard, where he found peace in watching his fish swim. He was also known for always wearing his signature Ralph Lauren Polo shirts.
Michael filled his home with televisions, ensuring he never missed a moment of cheering on his beloved LSU Tigers and New Orleans Saints. He also loved laughing at his favorite sitcom, Seinfeld, settling in nightly to enjoy its timeless humor. Sundays were especially dear to him as he gathered with family members at Maria Immacolata Catholic Church for evening mass, a ritual that reflected his faith and commitment to family.
Michael also looked forward to his wine tasting outings with Hope at Cannata's, where they enjoyed exploring new flavors and creating lasting memories.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation in honor of Michael on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at Maria Immacolata Catholic Church from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will immediately follow at Saint Francis de Sales Cemetery #2.
Michael is survived by his wife Hope Martin Adams; his son Ross Martin (Aubrey); his daughter Revee Dufrene (Philip); sisters Michelle Adams and Miki Adams; his grandchildren (Colston Dufrene, Stella Martin, Reid Dufrene, Spencer Martin, Anistyn Dufrene, and Silas Martin); as well as his nieces and nephews.
Michael was preceded in death by his brother Monte Adams and his parents, Ewing Mitchell "Mickey" Adams and Judy Lynn Downer Adams.
As we say goodbye to Michael, we remember his warmth, his spirit, and the joy he brought to those around him.
