Melba Chauvin

Melba Margaret Voisin Chauvin, age 85, passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2021. She was a native of Dulac and a resident of Houma, LA.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Chauvin Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, beginning at 9:00 a.m. until a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with burial following in Holy Rosary Cemetery.

Melba is survived by her husband of 66 years, Anthony Chauvin; sons, Clark A. Chauvin and wife, Kathy, and Marshall P. Chauvin and wife, Roslyn; daughter, Rebecca C. Bowen and husband, Herman “Sam”; brother, Brussell “Ginny” Voisin and wife, Gladys; grandchildren, Troy Bowen, Brad Bowen, Chad Bowen, Ty Chauvin, Tate Chauvin, Tatum Rivette, Tyle Chauvin, Shannon LeBoeuf, and Eli Chauvin; 17 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Melba was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Esia Margaret Thibodeaux Voisin;   brothers, Walton and Wilbert Voisin; sisters, Mary Della Boudreaux, and Ezella Voisin; and great-grandchild, Savannah Bowen.

Melba was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a very talented seamstress and artist. She will be dearly missed by all whose hearts she touched.
