Mary Voisin

Mary Ellen Crochet Voisin, age 93, passed away Friday July 8, 2022. She was a native of Bayou Sale’ and longtime resident of Grand Caillou.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Chauvin Funeral Home Thursday July 14, 2022 from 9:00 AM until service time at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Holy Family Cemetery.

Mary is survived by her children, Evest Voisin III and wife Amanda Lirette Voisin, Berwick Voisin, Stephen Voisin, Troy Voisin and wife Kathy Breaux Voisin, Yolanda Voisin Robichaux and companion Tyson Duplantis; grandchildren, Amber Voisin Dupont and husband Sean, Ty Voisin, Amy Voisin Hibscher and husband Charles, Jake Robichaux; great grandchildren, Luke Hibscher, Matthew Hibscher, Chance Lirette, Ashton Buie, Dylan Dupont, River Dupont, Dallyce Dupont; and numerous nieces, nephews and bonus grandchildren.

Mary is preceded in death by her husband of 76 years, Evest Joseph Voisin, Jr.; parents, Berwick Crochet and Helen Champagne Crochet; daughters-in-law, Linda Denny Voisin and Ann Adams Voisin; brother-in-law, Lloyd Joseph Voisin; sisters-in-law, Zoella Voisin Luke, Vivian Voisin Vincent, Yvonne Voisin Tauzin, Stella Voisin Duplantis.

Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church where she was a member of the Ladies Alter Society and the Kaycee Ladies Auxiliary. She also served as a Eucharistic Minister for many years. Mary was a retired homemaker and bookkeeper. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
