Mary Eschete

December 8, 1925 — October 8, 2021

Mary Fazzio Eschete, age 95, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2021. Mary was a lifetime resident of Houma, Louisiana.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation in Chapel Dauphine of Chauvin Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, beginning at 9:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:30 a.m. at Chauvin Funeral Home with burial to follow in Holy Rosary Cemetery.  

Mary is survived by her children, Carey Eschete and companion Susan Britt; Darlene Eschete Hodgson and husband Nigel; grandchildren, Alicia Eschete Klingman and husband David, Jacob Eschete and wife Kaitlin, Trisha Hodgson Melancon and husband Christopher, Michelle Hodgson, DVM; great-grandchildren, Alexander and Caroline Klingman, Madelyn and Carson Melancon, and soon to be great grandbaby, Sloan Katherine Eschete.

Mary is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 68 years, Walter John Eschete; parents Tony and Theresa Sadie Fazzio; brothers, Johnny, Anthony, Vincent, Carlo, Francis, Roy, Ray, and Joseph.

Mary was a loving soul who was blessed with a beautiful family. She was a parishioner of Annunziata Catholic Church where she loved and served her Lord. She loved her family dearly and adored her grand and great grandchildren. Anyone who knew Mary, knew she loved gardening, cooking, and family events. Mary is reunited with the love of her life, and they are at rest in the arms of their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

The family would like to thank Winnie Thibodeaux, Brenda Fuchs, Cindy Godsey, Ms. Lou, for their care, compassion, and love. Your dedication is greatly appreciated.  

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic; local and CDC regulations require facemask and proper social distancing while attending funeral services.
