Margie Marie Hebert Bergeron, age 93, a native of Theriot and resident of Houma, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2026.
Margie is survived by her children, Wanda Baugh (Eddie), William "Bill" Bergeron, Jr. (Jodi), Wayne Bergeron (Cathy), Wendell Bergeron (Rhonda), and Craig Bergeron (Robin); her grandchildren, Kimberly Baugh (Nick), Scott Bergeron (Cindy), David Bergeron (Heather), Wayne Bergeron (Jamie), Derek Bergeron (Ashley), Nick Cruise (Ashley), Jacob Bergeron, Ashley Naquin (Lyle), and Jenna Bergeron; her great-grandchildren, Landon Ross, Hunter Ross, Chloe Verdin, Camryn Gaspard (Jacque), William Bergeron (Shirley), Lili Bergeron, Tripp Bergeron, Krista Felton, Koby Felton, Bailey Bergeron, Abi Bergeron, Jace Bergeron (Trinity), Trinity Bergeron, Greyson Bergeron, Auggie Bergeron, Maura Bergeron, Lincoln Cruise, Henry Cruise, Wyatt Cruise and Carson Naquin; her great-great-grandchildren, Jayden Gaspard, Rayne Gaspard, Avery Gaspard, Malcolm Bergeron, Ophelia Bergeron, Malakai Bergeron, Braxton Felton and Morgana Bergeron.
Margie was preceded in passing by her husband, William "Pawee" Bergeron; her parents, John Hebert and Sedonia Thibodaux Hebert; her brothers, Houston Hebert, Francis Hebert, Eugene Hebert and Johnny Hebert; her sisters, Dolores Hebert Holt, Patsy Hebert Pitre and Florence Hebert Moore; and her grandson, Brandon Lasater.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation to celebrate and honor Margie on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary beginning at 9:30a.m. until the Funeral Mass at 11:00a.m. Margie will be laid to rest in our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery.
Margie was a devoted parishioner of Holy Rosary, Catholic Church and a woman of remarkable strength and spirit. Strong willed and feisty she had a heart that loved deeply. She was a loving wife and the proud mother of five taking tremendous pride in her family and was always willing to support the people she cared about.
Margie was known for her competitive nature and her lively personality, never one to back down from a challenge and was never shy about sharing her opinion, especially when it came to her children participating in events and sports. Margie was a true "jack of all trades" her talents were endless. She was a dedicated homemaker who enjoyed cooking and caring for her family. She also worked alongside her husband assisting with his booking keeping business.
Margie was an extremely talented seamstress creating many beautiful Mardi Gras gowns and costumes. With carpentry skill and determination, she single-handedly, remodeled her entire home. She also worked as a manager at A&P. Margie found joy in Cajun dancing, cross stitching, building puzzles, and caring for her pets.
She was passionate about landscaping and gardening, finding peace in tending to her beautiful plants and flowers. She was a devoted sports fan who loved cheering on the New Orleans Saints, LSU, and golf. Margie's bold spirit, loyalty, and deep love for her family live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
