Margaret "Peggy" Ann Bascle Boquet, age 92, a native and resident of Bourg, LA., passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2026.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Thursday, April 9, 2026, from 9:00a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church in Bourg. Burial will follow Mass in the church cemetery.
Peggy is survived by her son, Patrick Boquet and wife, Elizabeth; daughters, Penny Dupre and Paula Neil and husband, Jesse; grandchildren, Eric and Betsy Boquet, Scott Boquet (Felicia) and Brittany Whitfield (Buddy), Justin and Tyler Neil; great-grandchildren, Caine Foret, Caitlyn Boquet, Maddie, Brooke and Gracie Boquet, Morgan, Taylor and Adlyn Boquet, Walter and Charlotte Neil and Wesley Whitfield; great-great-grandsons, Liam and Onyx Boquet; and her siblings, Jean LeBoeuf (Pepe), Oneal "Butch" Bascle, Jr. (Claudette), and Debbie Borel (Rene).
Peggy was preceded in passing by her husband, Leward Boquet; her parents, Oneal Bascle and Valerie Rogers Bascle; her daughter, Pamela Boquet; grandson, Christian Boquet; great-grandsons, Hunter Sorensen and Davis Whitfield; and her sister, Carley Bascle Walker.
Peggy loved looking at her flowers, hummingbirds and watching jeopardy and other game shows on tv. She still received the Courier everyday just to do the crossword puzzles. Peggy loved to volunteer for her church, and she was a life-long parishioner of St. Ann Catholic Church. She was a member of the Ladies Altar Society, assisted with CCD classes, sang in the church choir and also volunteered at Heritage Manor and the Civic Center after Hurricane Katrina. Peggy loved her family and always enjoyed visiting and spending time with them.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to those who helped take special care of Peggy including her nephew, Dr. Mark Walker, Dr. Allen Vander and Dr. Jacques Gaudet.
