Loula Mae White Bourg, age 94, a native and resident of Dulac, LA, passed away on Wednesday, August 6, 2025.
Loula is survived by her sons, Robin Bourg, Sr. (Priscilla) and Kevin J. Bourg; her daughter, Molly Bourg Babin (Joey); her grandchildren, Robin Bourg, Jr. (Paulene), Nicholas Bourg (Leigh), Mandy Bourg(Kennie Maryland, Jr.), Cammi Bourg Lucas (Jerrin), Mallory Babin Vincent (Andre) and Madison Babin; her great-grandchildren, Alyssa Bourg (Rob), Brennan Bourg, Nathan Bourg (Trista), Bailey Bourg, Bentley Maryland, Kennie "Poka" Maryland, III, Kolston Maryland, Braelyn Lucas and Evan Lucas; and her brother, Nolan White; her sisters, Alice White Palmer and Oletta White Chatagnier; and her sister-in-law, Gail White.
Loula was preceded in passing by her loving husband of 55 years, Oscar J. Bourg; her parents, Nickles White and Eva Fanguy White; her brothers, Nicholas "June" White, Eli White, Julius "Red" White and Floyd White; and her sisters, Inez White Dupre, Cecile White Gautier and Edith Hotard.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation in honor of Loula on Thursday, August 7, 2025, from 5:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. at Chauvin Funeral Home in Chapel Dauphine. Visitation will resume on Friday, August 8, 2025, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Dulac, La. At 9:00a.m. until the Funeral Mass at 11:00a.m. Loula will be laid to rest in Holy Family Catholic Cemetery in Dulac, La.
Loula was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to garden, quilt and cook Sunday dinner for her family and friends. She loved to visit with her friends and family, and she never met a stranger. Loula had a love for cats as she collected many knick knacks and cat figurines. She worked at Samanie Packing Company in Dulac for many years and would often talk about how much she enjoyed working there and that it was the time of her life.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made for Mass intentions.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff of St. Joseph Hospice, Dr. Abou-Issa, Deacon Brent, Rickey Guidry, Kim Chaffin, Father Antonio, Father Picchignito, Father Nathaniel and her care takers, Arlene Ford, Jarilyn Lovell, Allison Fellini, Vonda Billiot and Rose Guidroz for their compassion and care for Loula.
