Loretta Authement

Loretta Ann Carrere Authement, age 59, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, June 29, 2021. She was a native of Houma and a resident of Chauvin, LA.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Chauvin Funeral Home on Saturday, July 17, 2021, beginning at 9:00 a.m. until a Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. with burial following in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Loretta is survived by her husband of 43 years, Clarence "C.J." Antoine Authement, Jr.; sons, Jeremy P. Authement and wife, Samantha, and Leland J. Authement and companion, Amanda; daughter, Michele L. Authement; brother, Carroll Carrere, Sr. and companion, Mary, Sidney Carrere, III. and companion, Josephine, Edward "John" Carrere, Sr., Michael "Mike" Carrere, David Carrere, Junius "Blue" Bonvillian and wife, Jill; sisters, Stella Duet and husband, Francis, Brenda Day and husband, Doug, and Karen Gregoire; 8 grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and her adoptive family.

Loretta was preceded in death by her parents, Sidney Carrere, Jr., and Mary Aline Lirette Bonvillian and husband, Junius Sr.; son, Clarence "File'” Authement, III; brother, Kevin Bonvillian; and sister, Debra "Debbie" Daigle.

Loretta was a loving wife, mom, and maw maw. She was a member of the Kajun Mardi Gras Mombos. She enjoyed shopping, and spending time with family and friends. She will be dearly missed by all whose hearts she touched.
