Lola Ann Campbell

January 23, 1951 — November 2, 2023

Houma

Lola Ann Ledet Campbell passed away on All Souls' Day, Thursday, November 2, 2023, at the age of 72. She was born on January 23, 1951, in Houma, Louisiana, to Calvin Joseph Ledet and Rosalie Pye Ledet.

Lola is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Gary Wayne Campbell, her son Timothy Wayne Campbell and wife Stephanie; her daughter Tami Elizabeth Campbell Taylor, and four grandchildren: Alicia Taylor, Brynn Taylor, Gabriel Campbell, and Madeline Campbell. She is also survived by two brothers, Gerald J. Ledet and Glynn F. Ledet, Sr. and one sister, Susan Runkles, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Additionally, she is survived by her mother-in-law, Irma M. Campbell.

She was predeceased by her parents, and sister, Gwendolyn L. Wallace.

Appropriately, Lola departed this earthly life on All Souls' Day, a day of remembrance for the departed faithful, for she was truly a faithful believer and prayer warrior who cared deeply for her family and friends and those less fortunate. Lola possessed a quiet, sweet demeanor, but was also capable of having detailed conversations about anything you could imagine. She truly loved any topic that interested the person she was speaking with. She was also undemanding and loved unconditionally. Making friends easily was a gift she possessed; she never met a stranger and became friends with anyone and everyone. Family was also very important to her, and she loved each and every one and always prayed for the best for them. She loved being a "MeeMaw" to her grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with her children and Gary's family, who embraced her as a sister and loved her unconditionally. She was a blessing in ways too numerous to count and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Celebration of Lola's Life at Chauvin Funeral Home on Wednesday November 8, 2023 from 5-8 pm and November 9, 2023 from 9-11 am with services at 11 am. Burial to follow in St. Francis Cemetery No. 2.
