Letha Ann Parfait, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and dear friend, peacefully passed away on September 9, 2025, at the age of 80. Born on August 27, 1945, in Lagrange, Georgia, she spent her life devoted to her family and community in Houma, Louisiana.
Letha is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Leroy Parfait, and their cherished children; Paul Leroy Parfait, Jr. (Lenore), David Parfait, Mark Parfait (Crystal), Ronn Parfait (Jill), Denita Robling (Tim), and Justin Parfait (Jessica). Her sister, Rachel "Oline" Billiot and took immense pride in her grandchildren; Nevin, Karissa, Tilman, Taylor, Trevor, Kristen, Mark Jr., Kaylee, Koby, Kollin, Shelby, Steward, Shea, Jayden, and Jayci and numerous great-grandchildren who filled her life with joy.
Letha is now reunited in Heaven with her parents; Velma and Jim Mitchel, her daughter, Tina Duthu, her brothers, Elvin Baldwin Sr. and Wallace Hubbard; and her mother-in-law, Libby Parfait.
Always a force of love and determination, Letha was known for her fierce protection of her family, her delightful Southern Georgia cooking, and her passionate connection to her roots. A true "Georgia Peach," she fell in love with Louisiana while participating in mission work, and it became her cherished home after she met the love of her life Leroy. Letha had a zest for life that embraced her hobbies, including caring for her beloved chickens for fresh eggs. She loved Jesus deeply and expressed her faith through song and dance, infusing warmth into everyone she met.
A kind and loving spirit, Letha touched the lives of many, and her family is grateful for the compassionate care provided by the nurses and staff at Terrebonne General Hospital 5th floor, as well as Dr. Maidoh, Dr. Matherne and Fresenius Dialysis.
Friends and family are invited to attend the visitation beginning on Monday, September 15, 2025 from 9 AM to 11 AM. Funeral Services will begin at 11 AM at Chauvin Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
In this time of mourning, we thank everyone for their love, prayers, and support as we remember and cherish the beautiful memories of Letha Ann Parfait. She will be dearly missed but her spirit will live on in our hearts.
