Leslie Gautreaux

Leslie Callegan Gautreaux, age 68, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, May 30, 2021. Leslie was a longtime resident of Houma.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at St. Bernadette Catholic Church on Thursday, June 3, 2021 beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery No. 2.

Leslie is survived by her daughter, Wendy Gautreaux Harlan and husband Conrad; sons, Jason Gautreaux and wife Angela and Justin Gautreaux and wife Kacie; grandchildren, Luke and Ayden Gautreaux, Audrey and Andrew Harlan, Lani Thibodeaux, and Tyler Harrison; brothers, Wesley and Tyler Callegan; sisters, Julie Porche, Lisa Champagne, Stacy Tillery, Trina LeCompte; beloved pet, Chief.

Leslie is preceded in death by her loving husband, Jerry Gautreaux; parents, Sterling, Sr. and Ouida Haydel Callegan; brother, Sterling Callegan, Jr.; sister, Sally Breaux.

Leslie was a loving mother, grandmother and beloved friend to many. She was a Teacher’s Aid for many years at Broadmoor Elementary School until her retirement. Anyone who knew Leslie, knew she loved fishing, family gatherings, cooking, tending to her orchids. Above all, she loved and adored her grandchildren and spending time with her loving pet, Chief. Leslie leaves this world behind to be united with her loved ones who passed before her. She now rests in the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
