Paul "Tootie" Leroy Parfait, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, devoted friend, and passionate outdoorsman, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2026, at the age of 80. Born on November 15, 1945, Leroy spent his life in the Dulac community, where he was known for his kind heart and unwavering faith. 

A man of simple pleasures, Leroy found joy in the beauty of nature, whether he was hunting in the woods or fishing on the bayou. His love for the outdoors was only surpassed by his love for his family and friends. Throughout his life, Leroy touched the hearts of many with his warm spirit and dedication to those he cared about and never would meet a stranger but the love of his beloved wife of over 63 years was above all and truly set the standard for what love meant. Leroy was strong in his faith, instilling his love for God in every act of love and kindness he did, you would often find him praying in French.

Leroy is survived by his cherished children; Paul Leroy Parfait, Jr. (Lenore), David Parfait, Mark Parfait (Crystal), Ronn Parfait (Jill), Denita Robling (Tim), and Justin Parfait (Jessica). his grandchildren; Nevin, Karissa, Tilman, Taylor, Trevor, Kristen, Mark Jr., Kaylee, Koby, Kollin, Shelby, Steward, Shea, Jayden, and Jayci, his brothers; Nolan "Pete" Parfait (The late Clara), Franklin "Nickey" Parfait, Ledward "Ton" Parfait (Bessie), Lenwood "Neg" Parfait (Carol), Henry "Yen" Parfait (Tina), Charlie Parfait (Tammie), Octave "June" Parfait Jr. (Elaine), Samuel Parfait; his sisters, Linda Duthu (The late Myron "Beb"), Rhonda (Cleveland "Coco") and numerous great-grandchildren all whom he loved with all of his heart. Leroy is now reunited in Heaven with the love of his life of 63 years, Letha Ann Parfait, his daughter, Tina Duthu and his parents Octave Parfait and Marie Libby Parfait

Friends and family are invited to attend the Visitation beginning on Friday, April 17, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Chauvin Funeral Home. Visitation will continue on Saturday, April 18, 2026, beginning at 9:00 a.m. till the time of the Funeral Services beginning at 10:30 a.m. at Chauvin Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Gray, LA.

Leroy Parfait will be deeply missed, but his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
