Levurn "Chic" Hebert Charpentier, born March 11, 1953, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2025, in Houma, Louisiana, surrounded by love.
Chic is survived by her husband, Murphy Charpentier; her daughters, Angela Hebert and Jennifer Neal, and son-in-law, Joseph Neal; her five beloved grandchildren, Skye Larrabee (and husband, Chris Larrabee), Zachary Hebert, Holden Neal, Joshua Neal, and Madison Neal; and one cherished great-grandchild, Caleb Hebert. She is also survived by her two sisters, Debra Ellendar (and husband, Timmy Ellender) and Sharon Trahan (and husband, Neal Trahan).
She was preceded in death by her two stepsons, Mark Charpentier and Randy Charpentier-about whom she fondly said the only thing she didn't feel for them was labor pains-her father, Gilbert Hebert; her mother, Fay Hebert; her sister, Rosanna Hebert; and her brother, Gil Hebert.
Chic was truly everyone's greatest cheerleader, celebrating every achievement-large or small-with genuine pride and enthusiasm. She was loved by many and known for her incredible selflessness, quietly giving of herself without ever asking for anything in return. Her deep love for the bayou and its life brought her peace; she felt most at home with the water nearby, whether on the bayou or at the beach. Chic cherished the simple joys of life, finding true happiness in her family and friends, tending her flower beds, and creating a home her children and grandchildren always loved returning to. Her presence and encouragement touched all who knew her, and her legacy of kindness, love, and pride in those she cared for will live forever in the hearts of her family and friends.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to ACG Hospice for the exceptional care, tenderness, and compassion they provided in Chic's final days. Their kindness and dedication were a true blessing and brought great comfort and peace to both her and her family.
