Lawanna Boudreaux

Lawanna Ford Boudreaux, age 82 passed away surrounded by her loving family on January 16, 2018. She was a native of Houston and a resident of Houma.

On November 28, 1935 in Houston, Texas Lawanna was born to Delmon A. Ford of Clifton, Texas and Mae Schwab Ford of Palestine, Texas.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation in the Cypress Parlor at Chauvin Funeral Home on Thursday, January 18, 2018 beginning at 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Friday at St. Anthony Catholic Church beginning at 12:00 PM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 PM. Burial will be held at a later date.

Lawanna is survived by Sons, Gilbert "Pat" (Bonnie) Boudreaux, Paul Boudreaux, Daughter, Aimee Boudreaux (Michael) Bergeron, Grandsons, Jason Boudreaux, Philip Boudreaux, Great-grandchildren, Bridget Wadsworth, Blake Wadsworth, Emma Boudreaux, Riley Boudreaux, Sister, Molly Johnson.

Lawanna is preceded in death by her Husband, Gilbert Boudreaux; Parents, Delmon A. Ford and Mae Schwab Ford; Son, Michael "Mike" Boudreaux; Daughter, Molly Boudreaux Driver;

Lawanna will be remebered as a loving wife and devoted mother. She was family oriented and loved hanging out with her grandchildren. She was a very religious woman, who shared her love of God by singing in the church choir.

She enjoyed attending softball and baseball games and adored pets and babies.

She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

The family would like to thank Chateau Terrebonne’s wonderful caregivers for their abundance of love and care that was shown to Lawanna.

In memory of Lawanna's charitable spirit the Boudreaux family requests donations be made in her honor to The Haven, Louis Crisis Center or the charity of your choice.
