Larry Oldbear

Larry Irwin Oldbear, age 80, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, October 6, 2018 7:38 pm. He was a native of Des Moines, IA and a resident of Cut Off, LA.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Graveside Service on Monday, October 29, 2018 at 10:00 am in Our Lady of the Rosary Cemetery.

Larry is survived by wife of 35 years, Maria Nigrinis Oldbear; sons, Sidney Oldbear, Mecham Oldbear, Jay Oldbear, Damon Oldbear and Darwin Nigrinis; daughters, Delphine Onstead, Trisha Oldbear, Debra Mattice, Gina Brady and Karen Alvarez; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Larry is preceded in death by his daughter, Marjorie Oldbear.

Larry was a Tugboat Captain by profession. He served in the US Navy. He enjoyed fishing, barbequing, and spending time with his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
