Kenneth Eli Abramson, Sr.

Kenneth Eli Abramson, Sr., a native of Jackson Heights, New York, raised in Los Angeles, California, and a longtime resident of Houma, Louisiana for 49 years, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2025.

Kenneth is survived by his children, Kenneth Eli Abramson, Jr. (Fadwa) and Andrea Waalk (Brad); and his beloved grandchildren, Braden Waalk, Ashton Waalk, and Leila Abramson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eli August Kostamo Abramson and Clara Golsch Abramson; his sister, Shirley Fay Abramson; and his former wife, Doris Marie Cox Abramson.

Kenneth proudly served in the United States Army and was a Korean War veteran, with service in Germany during the war.

A longtime resident of Houma and owner of Dularge Sporting Goods, Kenneth was well known throughout the community and made friends wherever he went. He especially enjoyed visiting his favorite spots around town, including Southland Mall, the YMCA, and Chick-fil-A.

He had a deep love for history, western films, and jazz music. He was an avid gun collector, a proud patriot, and a man who valued friendships, conversations, and community.

Kenneth will be remembered for his warmth, curiosity, and the quiet strength with which he lived his life.Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation in honor of Kenneth on Friday, November 28, 2025, at Chauvin Funeral Home, in Chapel Dauphine, beginning at 9:00a.m. until the Funeral Service at 11:00a.m. Kenneth's burial will be private.Chauvin Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Kenneth Abramson, Sr.
