Kayla was a dedicated wife and mother to her two beautiful children. Her compassionate heart and bright personality impacted anyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Kayla was soft-spoken and reserved. However, the more you got to know her you would uncover how vibrant, fun-loving, and hilarious she truly was. She was quick to listen and slow to speak. The advice she offered was always honest and encouraging. Kayla worked at Houma family practice where she was able to show her caring character and love for nursing. She attended Living Word Church in Houma, LA. Her love for God was apparent and inspired many people around her.

In October 2019, Kayla was diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer called Dedifferential Chondrosarcoma. She remained brave, courageous, and strong-willed while receiving treatment at MD Anderson accompanied by Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center.

Kayla was a beautiful soul and blessed us with an abundance of precious memories. She will forever be in our hearts and watching over us until we meet again.

Chauvin Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Kayla Verret.
