Obituary

Kayla "KK" DeRoche, 62, of Houma, passed away peacefully on August 2nd, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and a cherished grandmother. Her life was defined by the love she gave, the memories she created, and the lasting impact she had on those fortunate enough to have known her.

She is survived by her loving husband, Terry DeRoche, son Brennan Hebert and his wife Alana Hebert, daughter Brooke DeRoche and her wife Taylor DeRoche, daughter Ashley Zeringue and her husband Trent Zeringue. She was a proud and loving grandmother to six grandchildren: Kaden Granier, Brayli Hebert, Tatum Zeringue, Averi Hebert, Riley Zeringue, and Parker Zeringue.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Edward Cagle Sr., and her mother, Yvonne Tollinson.

Those who knew Kayla knew how much she loved the outdoors. Hunting, fishing, and spending time in nature brought her great joy and were a special part of who she was. She also cherished supporting her grandchildren and could often be found cheering them on at their sporting events, proudly celebrating their accomplishments, and making memories along the way.

She also enjoyed being involved in HOSCI and rode with Cleopatra for many years.

She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Happy Health Wellness, Dr. Craig Wade, and all of the nurses who cared for her throughout her journey. We are especially thankful to Haydel's Memorial Hospice for the compassion, comfort, and support they provided during her final moments. Your kindness and care meant more than words can express.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Memorial Gathering in honor of Kayla on Monday, August 17th, 2026, at Chauvin Funeral Home in Magnolia Chapel beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the Memorial Service at 12:00 p.m.

The family invites all those who knew and loved her to join them in celebrating her life and the joy she brought into this world.
