Obituary

It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of Karen Lee Crosby Pagan, 58, passed on the morning of Saturday, June 27, 2026. Karen was a native of Fort Worth, TX and a resident of Houma, LA.

Karen is survived by her loving family; long time partner, Wayne Blanchard; daughters, Amber and Heather Pagan; mother, Susan Runkles; sisters, Christina Crosby, Robyn Wallace, Kristi Crosby, and Kimberly Parfait; grandson, Deytan Lamar Houle; granddaughters, Rhylee Jane McGee, Kennedy Grace'Ann and Kori Nova-Ripley Trosclair; and numerous loving nieces and nephews. Karen is also survived by her loving pet companions, Peanut and Sassy.

Karen is preceded in passing, by her father, Robert Crosby; stepfather, Larry Runkles; grandparents, Calvin and Rosalie Ledet; and nephew, Matthew Wallace.

Karen was a very loving and generous person. She would help anybody she could that would ask for her help. Karen's proudest accomplishments in her life were her children; whom she dearly loved. She was adventurous and loved the outdoors and to go camping with her family. Her laughter, compassion, and unwavering love made the world brighter. While we mourn her passing, we celebrate a life beautifully lived and the legacy of love she leaves behind with all who knew her. She will be forever loved, forever missed, and forever in our hearts.

The family would like to thank the entire team at St. Joseph's Hospice for the love and care she received.

Chauvin Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Karen Crosby Pagan.

Services will be held privately by the family at a later date.
