June Babin Collins, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away surrounded by her family on Monday, May 25, 2026, at the age of 87. June was a devoted and caring woman whose life centered around her faith, her family, and serving others.

She is survived by her husband Allen "AJ" Collins, Jr.; her daughter, Elizabeth Collins Groves and husband Mike Groves; son, Tony Collins and wife Denise Rogers Collins; grandchildren, Sarah Naquin Watson and husband Paul, Chloe Collins Freeman and husband Sean, Brett Collins and great grandchildren, Danielle, Ava, and Emma Watson. June is also survived by her sister Evelyn Babin Chatagnier and husband Eldrin Chatagnier, Jr. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilton and Josephine Babin, and her baby sister, who passed away at birth.

A member of Catholic Daughters, June dedicated much of her time to helping others through the Bereavement Committee and her parish family at St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Her kindness, compassion, and quiet strength touched many lives throughout the years.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Haydel Memorial Hospice, Terrebonne Homecare, Inc. and Terrebonne Council on Aging for the compassion and support shown during June's final journey. A special thank you to all who lovingly cared for her and whose kindness and companionship meant so much to both June and her family.

June will be remembered for the love she gave so freely, the comfort she brought to others, and the deep devotion she had for her family and faith. Though her passing leaves an immeasurable void, she will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Her remains have been entrusted to Chauvin Funeral Home. A public viewing will be held at St. Bernadette Catholic Church from 8:30 to 10:45 on Friday, May 29, 2026, with a Mass to follow at 11:00. Internment will follow at Terrebonne Memorial Mausoleum.
