Joseph is preceded in passing by his parents, Joseph Trazimond Verret and Lucille Lee Verret; brothers, Arthur Verret, Paul Verret, Anthony Verret, Edmond Verret; sisters, Margaret Solet; Dora Billiot, Victoria Verret, Whitney Verret.

He was a father of four (Loretta, Joe, Belinda, and Danny). Joseph had several grandchildren and great grandchildren that he expressed unconditional love for.

Joseph spent a majority of his life time as a crew boat captain which he was very proud of. He was very passionate and loved being a crew boat captain. After 35 years, Joseph was forced into retirement due to his Glaucoma condition. Joseph also said if Glaucoma would not have forced him into retirement he would had stayed running a crew boat until the day he died.

On his off days from the job he loved, he spent time with his children and family. Words just cannot express the love Joseph had for his family and always had a faith in God. Joseph had the biggest heart and did anything for his family and helped everyone he could.

Joseph also kept his boat, home, and vehicles spotless as if keeping them clean was the hobby!

He enjoyed watching western movies, comedy movies, going on cruises, and listening to gospel music.

Spending time with Joseph was very comedic because he was always telling a hilarious story about his past!! Joseph's sense of humor was one of a kind that no one else will ever be able to compare to.

Joseph had the biggest heart and has made a positive impact on anyone he came across.

During Joseph's last days he was still expressing his love to everyone and wanted to make sure his family was taken care of once he was gone!!

Joseph will be missed, he definitely earned his highway to heaven and was a blessing to his family and friends!!
