Wilton Joseph LeBoeuf, 91, passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, surrounded by his loving wife and family. Wilton was a native of Montegut, LA and a resident of Chauvin, LA.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at Chauvin Funeral Home from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin, LA. from 10:00 am until service time at 12:00 pm. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Wilton is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Bernadine Pitre LeBoeuf, his brother Milton LeBoeuf (Berthile), his children: Ramona Brunet (Jestin), Marion Lirette (Michael), Linda Hernandez (Rick), Marcia Rogers (Bobbie), Jerome Portier (Colleen), Jan Moore (Matt), and Rosalyn Boudreaux. Wilton is also survived by 15 grandchildren: Kirk Brunet (Monique), Heather McMullan (Brad), Whitney Viteaux (Anthony), Courtney Kurpiel (Jamie), Sandy Matherne, Todd Matherne (Caroline), Tyler Matherne (Dalena), and Taylor Matherne, Katie Boudreaux, Kyle Boudreaux (Chelsea), Cody Boudreaux (Alexa), Kristi Dardar (Gilbert), Brett Portier (Adda), Shawn Portier (Tori), Brittany Boudreaux (Al), and numerous great grandchildren.
Wilton is preceded in passing by his parents, Julien Paul LeBoeuf and Louise Duplantis LeBoeuf, his late wife, Theresa LeCompte LeBoeuf, siblings: Hazel LeCompte, Lorita, Beulah, Leona, Roy, Wilbert, and Paul "Loney" LeBoeuf; his first- born child, Anne, step-son, Aaron Louis Portier, and son-in-law, Kevin Boudreaux.
Wilton was a loving and amazing one-of-a-kind man. He had a strong faith and a deep love for God. He was very dedicated and hardworking with a strong work ethic. He was a tugboat captain for 42 years with Al and Billy Cenac (Caillou Island Towing). He was honored that they named a tugboat after him. His favorite pastimes were spending time with family, traveling, dancing, cooking, working in his garden, watching game shows, and fishing.
The family would like to thank his doctors: Russell Henry, Robert Alexander, Richard Abben, William Ladd, Logan Ledet, David Hagen and Ralph Bourgeois. Special thanks go to Lauren, Patty, Garth, and Janet with Vital Caring, the Council on Aging, and the Little Caillou Fire Department for helping out so many times over the years.
