John Randall
Crochet
November 2, 1962 – April 18, 2026
It is with sadness and heartbreak that we share the passing of John Randall "Randy" Crochet, who departed this world on April 18, 2026, at the age of 63. Born on November 2, 1962, in Sioux City, Iowa, Randy made a life for himself in Houma, Louisiana, where he was known to many as a spirited boat captain in the oilfield industry.
Randy was the life of the party, always ready for a laugh with an ice-cold Budweiser in hand. A man of many talents, he could build almost anything from scratch, showcasing his creativity and resourcefulness. His love for nature drew him to the great outdoors, where he thrived while fishing, camping, and indulging in his passion for barbecuing and seafood boils. He was also a professional pool player, with multiple 1st place wins in his pool league. Yet, perhaps what he cherished most were the moments spent around his own pool table where stories and smiles were shared with his best friends and family.
Randy's greatest joy came from his family, especially his daughters, Caelyn Crochet and Chelsea Crochet, as well as his stepdaughter, Cassidy Eschete; stepgrandson, Sawyer Eschete; grand-furbaby, Ajax; father, John Crochet, Jr. and wife Carolyn; siblings, Cynthia Ledet, Kimberly Hebert and husband Keith, and Loretta Crochet. He will be lovingly remembered as a devoted father, a supportive son, and a true friend who could light up any room with his unique character. His family and friends take comfort in knowing that he has reunited with his beloved wife, with whom he shared a deep love that transcended this life.
He was preceded in death by his wife of twelve years, Lisa Marie Neil Crochet; and his mother, Elizabeth Fredrickson.
Randy's Celebration of Life will be held on May 2nd, 2026 starting at 1:00pm. To RSVP and get the location, please contact Christie Neil Welch at (985)-791-4788.
As we gather to reflect on a man who lived life to the fullest, let us rejoice in the memories we created together. Randy leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and adventure that will continue to inspire everyone that had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace, and may we cherish the time that we were lucky enough to share with him.
