She was preceded in death by her mother; Betty Lemen Dudrow, father; John F. Moore, Jr., beloved stepfather; Dan Dudrow, older sister; Ann Dudrow Platt Terhes, twin sister; Jill Dudrow McKinney Biggs and brother Pete Dudrow.

Joan was a longtime active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Houma, where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday School.

The Thompson family would like to thank Dr. Dickie Haydel, Haydel Hospice, Patti Voss, Keith Weisheit, Mimi Barker and Kristen Wilkerson for their excellent care.
