Joan Rogers

(May 5, 1948 – October 4, 2025)

Joan Margarite Boisvert Rogers departed this world peacefully on October 4, 2025. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Jim Rogers; her loving daughter, Michelle Eroche (William Eroche); stepchildren Lauren and Christopher Rogers; granddaughter Joanna Izaguirre (Christian Aldridge); step-grandchildren Matthew Brill (Jenna Maybin), Samantha Krieger (Austin Krieger), and Jack Eroche (Alexis Boyajian); sister Priscilla Curro (Nick Curro, II); sister-in-law Chickie Boisvert; countless loving nieces, nephews, cousins; and her dearest friend, Olive Dumez.

She was preceded in death by her father, Paul Boisvert; mother, Jean Boisvert; brother, Norman Boisvert; and sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Joseph Mottershead.

Born in Biddeford, Maine, but truly a resident of the world, Joan spent her life in Maine, Germany, Tennessee, and ultimately South Louisiana, where she built new roots and lifelong friendships. A skilled nurse, she gave compassionate care to her patients and everyone around her—spreading love and comfort wherever she went.

In her own time, Joan expressed her creativity through cooking, art, and hosting the most beautiful gatherings. Although regularly mischievous, Joan was always tender-hearted. She delighted in bringing joy to others and took pride in creating moments filled with laughter, love, and connection. Above all, she was proud of the strong women she helped raise in her family.

Her life will be celebrated at a later date, in true Joan fashion—with a gathering worthy of the fabulous parties she was known for. She will rest eternally on the shores of Maine, where her heart always loved to be.
